The first day of my trip to Europe was spent in Dublin, Ireland. I can honestly say that Ireland is one of my favorite places in the world. We walked the old fashioned, cobblestone streets of Dublin that night and I don’t think I have ever seen a city so alive. We also found a midget man dressed up as a leprechaun so I am thrilled to say I have seen a leprechaun in Ireland;). I learned that the Irish culture is all about hype and having fun and I absolutely love that. My dad and I also climbed to the top of our hostel and up another little ladder onto a ledge that had the most amazing view of Dublin, so we watched the sunset from up there and I swear I could have stayed up there forever. Our hostel was built on top of a pub that hosted parties of drinking, dancing, and rock music all night every single night. Nothing beats falling asleep to the sound of people celebrating and clinking their drinks to the good ol’ Irish life. The next morning, we did more exploring of Dublin and ended up going on an unexpected hike to the most beautiful landscape of pure greenery and true Irish countryside. I found a blonde wig by Saint Patrick’s cathedral and picked it up for my dad to wear for the rest of the day which was hilarious. I just loved Ireland so much.
