peace.

Recently, I had the opportunity of hiking in the Tetons with some of my family. We climbed almost twenty miles uphill through glaciers, cliffs, and hundreds of big rocks. As we reached the top of the Middle Teton, we looked out on some of the most beautiful creations and it instantly refreshed my mind and brought me so much peace. Standing on the top of one of the many mountains my Heavenly Father has created, I felt His loving arms around me and had a strong confirmation that He is the creator of all things, including me. I learned that each person was put on the earth for a specific reason to offer something to the world and change it in some way. Heavenly Father doesn’t make mistakes. I know my purpose here on earth, and I hope to do everything I can to follow the path He has given me.  The song ‘Peace in Christ’ shares the message,”There is peace in Christ. He gives us hope when hope is gone, He gives us strength when we can’t go on. When there’s no peace on earth, there is peace in Christ.” How comforting is it to know that He makes up the difference? He leads the way and constantly offers peace, hope, and strength. As often as I can, I love to pray vocally and thank my Father in heaven for the blessings I’ve been given. There are few things more powerful to me than the peace I feel when speaking to Heavenly Father and letting Him know how I feel. He knows exactly what to do to comfort me and strengthen the light inside me. I know my Savior loves me and can offer peace, even when it seems like there is no peace on earth.

“Learn of me, and listen to my words; walk in the meekness of my Spirit, and you shall have peace in me.”  -D&C 19:23

Love, Lily
