grace.

The grace of the Savior, Jesus Christ brings me so much joy. I love knowing that He will love me regardless of my imperfections, and that He was willing to pay the price to perfection.  The atonement offers hope for even someone who has done nearly everything wrong. Fortunately, the grace of Christ offers never ending second chances to even those who turn away from Him. On a more personal level, even for me when I make my daily mistakes, the Savior gives a reaction of love and hope that allows me to repent and improve my life each day. I have come to learn that the best way for anyone to worship Christ is to emulate Him and live the way He lived. As easy as this sounds, it can be difficult to continually strive to follow every perfect example and commandment the Lord has set for us. I will admit to being imperfect, but I can say with all of my heart that I try put the Savior first and do anything I can to be like Him, because I do everything to be perfect in trying. I have felt the ways that His grace has completed my life and it is because of that that I am willing to wake up each day and carry out His will as best as I can. I believe that one of the most important questions for each child of God to ask each day is, “Do I have eyes to see what heaven sees in me?” When looking at ourselves the way God sees us, we can see potential and pure, perfect love. Why look for negativity and failure when we could instead look for how we are improving and trying to emulate Christ? I hope to never forget the grace of my Savior and the ways that He makes up the difference in my life. “More purity give me, more strength to overcome. More freedom from earth-stains, more longings for home. More fit for the kingdom, more useful I’d be. More blessed and holy, more, Savior like Thee.”

Ether 12:27- “And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then I will make weak things become strong unto them.”

Love, Lily
